HOW IT WORKS - CLIENTS
OVERVIEW
Surrey Childcare has built up a register of qualified and experienced babysitters and we thought it would be great if they were available to you at anytime rather than just in our office hours. So we have developed a system that saves you time and phone calls trying to find the right person.
Everyone on the system has been personally interviewed by us and we have followed up references and made CRB checks so all you need to do is choose the person that you feel is right for you. *
Surrey Childcare has developed a web based diary system that allows you to book a babysitter online. Simply click on the day that you need a babysitter and all sitters on the system that are available that day will be listed, with a photo and details of qualifications, first aid certification, CRB status, hourly babysitting rate and feedback left by other clients all easily viewable.
Once you have chosen a babysitter you simply click to make a booking request. This sends an automatically generated text message to the babysitters' mobile phone and an email with your booking request.
The babysitter will then contact you and once you have agreed the booking simply click to confirm the booking. This sends the babysitter all your details in an email and another text message confirming your booking.
It's as simple as that. The system is online 24 hours a day everyday. You can book in advance or find available babysitters at short notice out of normal office hours.

HOW TO MAKE A BOOKING
When you make a booking, bear in mind that this is a booking
request. The babysitter will contact you to confirm the booking and once
you are happy that they are right for you and you have agreed terms then it is
up to you to confirm the booking online. This is important because not
only does it let the babysitter know that the booking is definite, it
automatically sends important information to the babysitter, your children's
names, numbers to be contacted in an emergency, any special requirements that
you have and where you will be on the evening of the booking etc. It also keeps
you in control of the process. Once confirmed, the babysitters picture will
appear in your diary on the day of the booking. At any point in the booking
process you can add notes to your booking, for instance, if your venue changes
or anything else you need to let your babysitter know and this automatically
updates the email that is sent to the babysitter. No need to make calls or
leave messages.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
If you need to cancel your booking just log in and click on the day that you have booked your babysitter. You are then given the option to cancel. Please note that if the cancellation is within 24 hours of the booking you must pay the babysitter for 3 hours at their hourly rate.
FEEDBACK AND FAVOURITES
Once your booking has been completed you can leave feedback for your chosen babysitter. This will be helpful for you and others when choosing your next babysitter. You can of course save any babysitter to your favourites so they will appear at the top of the list next time and be easy to find.
SECURITY AND PRIVACY
Surrey Childcare is registered under the Data Protection Act 1998. As such we will not share any personal data that we hold with anyone. We will not sell or otherwise use data for any purpose other than providing you with this service.
We do not hold any sensitive financial data as all our payments are carried out using PAYPAL who offer secure banking services.
HELP! THINGS ARE NOT WORKING OUT
Please allow a reasonable time for your babysitter to contact you. However if you have not heard anything after 24 hours of making your booking request please email sitters@surreychildcare.co.uk or contact us at the office during normal hours and we will help you with your booking. You can of course cancel your existing booking and choose another babysitter.
